London South Central Forum
London South Central is a strategically important zone on the south side of the river in central London. It offers both significant opportunities in terms of new development and regeneration, while exhibiting high levels of deprivation.
In 2001, London Development Agency recommended that Cross River Partnership (CRP) should take a lead role in co-ordinating regeneration activity within London South Central (LSC). CRP established the LSC Forum - made up of regeneration agencies and Lambeth, Southwark and Westminster Councils plus the Corporation of London - to co-ordinate initiatives between stakeholders in the area.
The aims of the Forum are to:
- Maintain and monitor a common vision
- Champion, promote, and provide leadership in achieving this vision
- Create the sub-regional context for the delivery of other common regeneration agendas
- Ensure project and programme development is based on information sharing between members.
